ABOUT THE SOCIETY
HELPING THE COMMUNITY THROUGH MUSIC
The Atlanta Steinway Society was established as a non-profit organization in 1980
by a group of individuals united in their devotion to fine music and its performance.
The Society is comprised of people from all walks of life - piano owners as well as non-owners.
All share a common bond: their love of the piano and piano music.
The Society is governed by a board of directors, who serve without compensation.
The purpose of the Society is to afford young pianists the opportunity to further their musical education
by awarding scholarships, and to offer music advocates special musical events throughout the year.
The Society has many exciting programs and events planned:
recitals where members will attend as a group an meet performers,
concerts featuring young Georgia pianists,
visits to members' homes for informal programs,
and trips to interesting places a a group.
Opportunities exist for new members to serve on committees
and make important contributions toward planning our activities.
We hope you will join us in preserving our Society's appreciation of the piano,
and help promote the young pianists of our community.
